## House brands, sourcing and testing

Olswell grows and processes RKIVE Reserve, Play and The Limit in Michigan. The Adrian lab handles processing, and RKIVE Reserve is processed in-house there from Olswell-grown cannabis. The Olswell about page states that it knows the source, the strain and the certificate of analysis (COA) for every batch of its own flower, and describes its in-house products as lab tested. Product availability and prices change, so each store's live Dutchie menu is the source for what is in stock.

- RKIVE Reserve ([page](https://olswell.com/brands/rkive-reserve)): the premium line. Hash rosin (solventless, cold-cured), live rosin, reserve flower and rosin carts. Solventless means ice water and mechanical separation, with no butane, propane or ethanol.
- Play ([page](https://olswell.com/brands/play)): the everyday line. Gummies, infused pre-rolls, rosin carts and concentrates, tested to Michigan standards. Play is also on Instagram at @playcanna.
- The Limit ([page](https://olswell.com/brands/the-limit)): the value line. Ounce deals, bulk flower, limited drops and specialty concentrates. Drops are limited and often sell out, and ounce pricing varies by store.

## Compliance, payment and age policy

- Age: 21 and older at all four stores, with a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID (driver's license, state ID or passport from any U.S. state). Every customer is carded every time. Olswell Grand Rapids also serves medical patients 18 and older with a valid Michigan med card.
- Payment: cash only. Every store has an ATM on-site. No debit cards, no credit cards, no online payment.
- Fulfillment: in-store pickup only. Customers may order ahead on the Dutchie menu for their store and pay cash at pickup. Orders are held until the end of business day. Olswell does not deliver and does not ship across state lines.
- Out-of-state visitors: adults 21 and older from any state may buy with a valid photo ID. All cannabis must be consumed within Michigan, and taking cannabis across state lines is illegal under federal law.
- Michigan limits for adults 21 and older: up to 2.5 ounces per transaction, with no more than 15 grams of that as concentrate. Up to 2.5 ounces may be carried in public (no more than 15 grams as concentrate) and up to 10 ounces kept at home.
- Michigan tax: adult-use purchases carry a 10% excise tax (MCL 333.27963) plus 6% sales tax. Medical patients pay the 6% sales tax and are exempt from the 10% excise tax. Michigan has no local sales tax.
- Michigan's cannabis tracking system (Metrc) tracks products through the supply chain. It does not track consumers or block repeat purchases.
- Safety: marijuana use by persons under 21 is prohibited under Michigan law. Keep cannabis products out of reach of children and animals. Do not drive after consuming cannabis.
- Regulator: [Michigan Cannabis Regulatory Agency](https://www.michigan.gov/cra). Statutes: [Michigan Legislature](https://www.legislature.mi.gov/), MCL 333.27951 et seq.

Q: What ID do I need to bring?
A: A valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID: driver's license, state ID or passport from any U.S. state. No ID, no entry. We card everyone, every time, no exceptions.

Q: How do I get the first-time discount?
A: 25% off your first visit at any Olswell store. Walk in with a valid 21+ ID and tell the budtender it is your first visit. No code, no email sign-up required.

Q: What is Happy Hour?
A: 20% off across the whole shop at Olswell Adrian, Traverse City and Kalkaska. No code, no membership, no catch. The window is set by each store: Adrian runs Friday 8AM-2PM and Sunday 8AM-12PM, and Traverse City and Kalkaska run Monday 5-9 PM and Thursday 9AM-1PM. Grand Rapids does not run Happy Hour.

Q: What payment do you take?
A: Cash only. There are ATMs on-site at every store if you need to grab cash before you check out. No credit cards, which is a federal banking limitation rather than an Olswell policy.

Q: Can I order online and pick up in store?
A: Yes. Browse and order through the Dutchie menu for your store, then pick up in person. Orders held until end of business day. Bring a valid 21+ ID.

Q: Do you grow your own cannabis?
A: We do. Our house brands, RKIVE Reserve, Play and The Limit, are grown and processed in-house at our Adrian lab. Grown here, made here, sold here.

Q: What kind of products do you carry?
A: Flower, pre-rolls, vapes, concentrates, edibles, solventless hash rosin and more, from our three house brands plus a rotating bench of Michigan's best. Grand Rapids runs deli-style flower: pick your weight, watch it get jarred.

Q: Can out-of-state visitors buy here?
A: Yes. Adults 21+ from any state can purchase with a valid photo ID. One rule: all cannabis must be consumed within Michigan. Taking it across state lines is a federal offense.

Q: Does Grand Rapids really welcome medical patients?
A: Grand Rapids serves recreational 21+ and medical patients 18+ with a valid Michigan med card, side by side on the same loud floor.

Q: Do I need a membership or points card for these deals?
A: No membership and no points-math. Happy Hour takes 20% off for every customer 21+ during that store's window, at Olswell Adrian, Traverse City and Kalkaska. First-time 25% off just needs a valid 21+ ID.
