Driving to Olswell Traverse City: Routes and Parking Downtown

Routes by starting point

• Interlochen, about 14 miles. Set your GPS to the store address and your app will pick the route.
• Suttons Bay, about 17 miles. Suttons Bay is on the Leelanau Peninsula, and the drive runs mainly on M-22.
• Empire (Sleeping Bear Dunes), about 25 miles. M-72 runs east from Empire toward Traverse City.
• Leland, about 26 miles. Leland is on the Leelanau Peninsula, and M-22 runs along the peninsula toward Traverse City.
• Petoskey, about 66 miles. Set your GPS to the store address and your app will pick the route.

Parking downtown

Parking in downtown Traverse City gets tight from June through August. If you are coming in summer, give yourself extra time to find a spot, and have a backup plan in case the first block is full. Your GPS can show lots nearby.

Festival weeks and traffic

Traverse City hosts big events through the year, including the National Cherry Festival in early July. Expect slower traffic into downtown and more competition for parking during events. Build in extra time, or come on a weekday morning.

Order ahead before you drive

Order on the Traverse City live menu and pick up in store. Orders are held until the end of the business day, so you can order in the morning and stop by in the evening. Inventory rotates, so check the live menu for what is in stock. Olswell does not deliver.

What to bring

• A valid government-issued photo ID showing you are 21 or older.
• Cash. Olswell is cash only, with an ATM on-site. You pay at pickup.
• If it is your first visit, tell the counter. First-time customers get 25% off their first visit.
