Bring Valid ID. Government-issued photo ID proving you're 21+, no exceptions. Out-of-state IDs work fine. Bring it even if you look 40, because we card everyone. Every time.

Understanding Purchase Limits

Michigan sets transaction and possession limits to keep things in check while still letting you stock up for yourself:

Per-Transaction Limits:

How the System Works. Here's the part people get wrong. Michigan's Cannabis Tracking System (CTS) follows the product from seed to sale for testing and inventory. It tracks plants and packages, not you. There's no statewide ledger of what you personally buy, and no shop blocks a sale based on where you shopped earlier in the day. Staying inside the lines is on you: the per-transaction limit is 2.5 ounces of flower (up to 15 grams as concentrate), and you can hit multiple dispensaries as long as you're never carrying more than 2.5 ounces on you at once.

Cannabis Taxes in Michigan
