Before You Go: What to Bring
Government-Issued Photo ID: Non-negotiable. Your ID proves you are 21+. We take:
- Driver's license
- Passport
- State ID
- Out-of-state or international ID (yes, accepted in Michigan)

Cash or Debit Card: Cash and debit work everywhere, and some spots take credit. Federal banking rules make cannabis card processing messy, so cash is your safest bet. Bring at least $50 for the first run.
Optional: Pre-Order Information: We run online ordering through Dutchie. Browse, build your cart, and pick it up at the counter. It saves time and lets you scope the menu before you walk in. Walk-ins are always welcome, but pre-ordering is the smooth play.
Optional: Shopping List: Got a specific strain or product in your head? Jot it down. If we are out of that exact thing, the budtender will line up something close, but a reference point helps.

At the Dispensary: Step by Step
Step 1: Entry and Check-In
Walk in and head for the front counter. Someone will greet you. First time? Just say so, and the budtender will walk you through it.
Hand over your ID so we can confirm you are 21+. Standard procedure, nothing personal.
Step 2: Browsing or Ordering
If You Pre-Ordered: Tell the budtender you have a Dutchie order waiting. They will grab your reserved items and bring them up.
If You're Browsing: They will point you to the displays or menus. Product is sorted into categories:
- Flower (buds)
- Pre-rolls (joints)
- Concentrates (wax, shatter, rosin)
- Vape cartridges
- Edibles
- Tinctures
- Topicals
Some of it sits in open displays, some lives on the menu. Either way, a budtender is right there to answer anything.
Step 3: Ask Questions
This is the part that matters most. Budtenders know their stuff and they want the questions. Fire away:
Potency: "What's the THC content?" Higher THC hits harder. First-timers usually do better around 15-20% than 25%+.
Effects: "What kind of effects does this have?" We will tell you straight: uplifting, relaxing, balanced, somewhere in between.
Terpenes: "What does this smell or taste like?" Terpenes drive both the flavor and the feel.
Consumption Method: "What's the best way to use this?" Flower you smoke or vape. Concentrates need gear.
Price: "What's the price per gram?" It moves with quality and brand, and it is all live on the Dutchie menu.
Recommendations: "What do you recommend for a first-timer?" This is our favorite question. We have got a shelf full of easy entry points.
Step 4: Making Your Selection
Everything comes sealed and labeled. On every package you will find:
- Product name
- THC/CBD content (%)
- Lab test results
- Producer/processor name
- Packaging date
- Warning labels
- Batch number
No label and no batch number means unlicensed, untested product. Never buy that, anywhere.
Step 5: Payment and Receipt
Head to checkout. Pricing runs by category, and the current numbers for flower, pre-rolls, concentrates, and edibles are all live on our Dutchie menu, so you can see exactly where you land before you commit.
One thing to remember: Michigan adds 10% excise tax plus 6% sales tax on top, roughly 16% total.
You walk out with a receipt and your purchase in a sealed bag. Hang on to that receipt.

Etiquette and Tips
Do:
- Treat the budtenders well
- Ask questions, that is literally why they are there
- Take your time deciding
- Take the recommendations
- Ask for a swap if something is out of stock
- Say so if you are new
- Tip your budtender when they take care of you
Don't:
- Touch the product (we will hand it to you)
- Consume in the store
- Snap photos of product (some spots prohibit it)
- Try to haggle (prices are fixed, but the deals are real)
- Be rude or demanding
Product Types Explained
Flower: Raw cannabis buds. Smoke it in joints, blunts, or pipes, or run it through a dry herb vaporizer. The most familiar format, and a solid way for first-timers to learn how effects land.
Pre-Rolls: Joints, rolled for you. Easy if you have never rolled one, and the dosing stays consistent.
Concentrates (Wax, Shatter, Rosin): Extracted cannabis in all kinds of textures. Way more potent than flower, and you need a dab rig or similar gear.
