What to Bring

• A valid government-issued photo ID showing you are 21 or older. An Ohio driver's license, state ID or passport all work. No residency requirement.
• Cash. Olswell is cash only, and there is an ATM on-site.

That is the whole list. Adrian is the Olswell store closest to the Ohio border, under an hour from Toledo. If you are coming from farther south, think about an overnight so you are not driving tired.

Can I Take Cannabis Back to Ohio?

No. Crossing a state line with cannabis is a federal crime in either direction, even though both Michigan and Ohio allow adult use. There is no small-amount exception, no medical exception and no pass-through exception. Use what you buy while you are in Michigan, and don't buy more than you will finish.

What You Can Buy

You follow the same limits as Michigan residents: up to 2.5 ounces per transaction, with no more than 15 grams of that as concentrate, and no more than 2.5 ounces on you in public. Michigan adult-use purchases also carry a 10% excise tax plus 6% sales tax, about 16.6% in all. Ohio's own taxes and rules are set by Ohio.
