The lighthouse at the tip, Mission Point Light, was built in 1870 and stands 17 miles north of Traverse City. From there, our Front Street counter is about 18.6 miles and 27 minutes by car, mainly on M-37.

Closer to the village, the Dougherty Mission House became a Michigan State Historic Site in 1956 and joined the National Register of Historic Places in 2011. It sits about 15.9 miles and 24 minutes from the store.
