Two ways to drive it

• I-94 west, US-12 and M-52, about 74 miles. This is the shorter route and the one most navigation apps pick. Detroit traffic matters most in the first stretch, so leaving outside rush hour makes the biggest difference.
• I-75 south, then US-223 west, about 86 miles. Longer, but a fallback if I-94 is slow. Check your app for live conditions before you pick.

These are road miles, not drive times. Winter snow and ice can add a lot, so check conditions before you leave and plan the return drive the same way.

Why make the drive

Adrian is home to Olswell's RKIVE Reserve lab, where the brand's solventless hash rosin and reserve flower are made. The store also carries Play and The Limit, Olswell's other house brands. Order ahead, then pick up

With a drive like this, order ahead. Place your order on the live menu and pick it up in store. You pay cash at pickup. Orders are held until the end of the business day, so a morning order still works if you arrive in the afternoon. Olswell does not deliver.

What to bring

• A valid government-issued photo ID showing you are 21 or older.
• Cash. Olswell is cash only, with an ATM on-site.
• If it is your first visit, tell the counter. First-time customers get 25% off their first visit.

Time it for Happy Hour

Adrian's Happy Hour takes 20% off the whole shop on Friday 8AM-2PM and Sunday 8AM-12PM. If you want it, leave early enough to arrive before the window closes. Weekly deals change, so check the live menu before you go.

Make it a day trip

At 74 miles each way, it makes sense to do more than pick up and turn around. Downtown Adrian has restaurants and shops, and the Croswell Opera House is worth checking for its schedule. Eat before or after your stop, and leave yourself time to drive home in daylight if you would rather not drive in the dark.

The drive home

Do not use cannabis before you drive, and do not use it in the car. Save it for when you are home and finished driving for the day.
