First-Time Cannabis Visitor's Guide to Olswell Adrian

What should I bring to Olswell Adrian?

Bring a valid government-issued photo ID that shows you are 21 or older, plus cash. A driver's license, state ID or passport works, and Ohio and other out-of-state IDs are fine. The store is cash only, with an ATM on-site as a backup if you forget. Nobody under 21 gets in.

Nothing else is required. If it helps, jot down the kind of product you want (flower, gummies, a vape, pre-rolls) so you do not forget when the counter gets busy.

Getting to Olswell Adrian

The store is at 1465 W Beecher Rd, Adrian, MI 49221. The Olswell Adrian store page has hours and directions.

Adrian is the Olswell store closest to the Ohio line, about 38 miles by road from Toledo, mostly on US-223. Coming from Ohio, read the Toledo to Adrian drive guide before you go. One rule matters before you cross the line: cannabis bought in Michigan has to stay in Michigan.

Order ahead, then pick up

Browse the Adrian live menu, build your order and pick it up in store. You pay cash at pickup. Orders are held until the end of the business day, so you can order in the morning and stop by after work. Olswell does not deliver.

Inventory rotates, so check the live menu for what is in stock before you make the drive. You can also walk in and shop the counter. No appointment is needed. The in-store pickup page explains the order flow.

At the door and at the counter

Staff check your ID at the entrance. After that you can wander the displays or go straight to the counter. If it is your first time, say so, then tell the team what you want from the night: something to smoke, a vape or something you eat, and how much you have tried before. They will narrow the menu down to beginner-friendly picks, and nobody is going to rush you.

How does the 25% first-visit discount work?

First-time customers get 25% off their first visit. Tell the counter it is your first purchase and show your ID, and the discount is applied at checkout. It is a one-time offer for your first visit only. Ask the team how it applies to your order, since promotions change, and see the first-time discount guide.

Happy Hour at Adrian

Adrian's Happy Hour takes 20% off the whole shop on Friday 8AM-2PM and Sunday 8AM-12PM. If your first visit lands in a window, ask the counter how it works alongside the first-visit offer. The Happy Hour guide covers how it works. Weekly deals change, so check the live menu rather than relying on a price you saw last month.

Picking a first product

• Flower. RKIVE Reserve is Olswell's top-shelf line, with reserve flower and solventless hash rosin made at the Adrian lab with ice water and mechanical separation, no chemical solvents. Check the live menu for what is in.
• Gummies. Play gummies show the milligrams per piece on the package. Pick the lowest strength and you know exactly what you are taking.
• Pre-rolls. Play infused pre-rolls are grab-and-go. Infused can mean stronger than a plain joint, so ask how strong the one you are holding is.
• Vapes. Cartridges are convenient and easy to overdo, so take small puffs.
• Concentrates. Rosin and other concentrates are much stronger than flower. Leave them for a later visit.
• Value. Once you know what you like, The Limit is where ounce deals, bulk flower and limited drops live.

Checkout

At the register, staff apply your discount and add Michigan's adult-use taxes, a 10% excise tax plus 6% sales tax. You pay in cash and get a receipt. A single purchase is capped at 2.5 ounces, with no more than 15 grams of that as concentrate, a limit a first-timer will not come near.

Your first time using it

• Private property only. Never in a parking lot, a park, on a beach or in a vehicle. Plan where you will be before you buy, such as a home or rental that allows it.
• Start low and wait. One or two puffs of flower, then pause. For an edible, take the lowest strength and wait two hours before even thinking about more, since they can take an hour or two to arrive.
• Do not drive. Plan to be finished driving for the day before you start.
• If it hits harder than you planned. Many people describe relaxation, a different sense of time, dry mouth and a bigger appetite, and too much can feel uncomfortable. Sit down somewhere quiet, drink water, slow your breathing and remember it passes. Poison Control is 1-800-222-1222, and 911 is for an emergency.
