Concentrates in Kalkaska

Three Things to Ask at the Counter

The Kalkaska store is quieter than the city stores, which makes it a good place to ask questions. Three worth asking:

• How strong is it? The label lists the THC content. Concentrates carry far more per gram than flower, so the number deserves a real look.
• What will I use it with? Rosin is made for dab rigs, e-nails and concentrate vaporizers. Match the product to the gear you own, or ask what the team would pair it with.
• What is the difference between these two? Rosin is pressed without chemical solvents. Live resin, wax, shatter and budder use a solvent that is purged afterward, and distillate is refined further. Live rosin vs. live resin has the longer version.

The House Brands Behind the Shelf

RKIVE Reserve is solventless: ice water and mechanical separation, no chemical solvents, made at Olswell's Adrian lab from Olswell-grown cannabis. Play covers rosin carts and concentrates meant for any day of the week. Both are grown and processed by Olswell in Michigan. RKIVE is made at the Adrian lab and inventory rotates by store, so the live menu is the only honest answer to what is on the Northland Plaza shelf.

Small Amounts, Cool Storage

Start with an amount about the size of a grain of rice and wait before adding more. Rosin softens in heat, so keep it out of a hot truck cab or a sun-baked boat bag, and store it in an airtight glass or silicone container away from light. Keep every concentrate away from children and pets.

Michigan caps concentrate at 15 grams per transaction, inside the 2.5 ounce total. Consumption belongs on private property with the owner's permission, never on the trail, at the lake or behind the wheel. Cannabis cannot cross state lines either.

Deals, Hours and Pickup

Hours at Olswell Kalkaska: Mon-Sun 9AM-9PM. Happy Hour takes 20% off the whole shop on Monday 5-9 PM and Thursday 9AM-1PM. A first visit earns a quarter off, and the Deals page lists whatever else is running this week.

Orders are held until the end of the business day. Payment is cash only, with an ATM on-site, and Olswell does not deliver.
