Cold Weather Changes Everything
Up North, the temperature is part of the buying decision. Cartridge oil thickens in the cold, so a cart left in a freezing truck or a sled storage box can pull poorly until it warms up. Carry it in an inside pocket, let it come to room temperature on its own, and keep it off a sun-baked dashboard in summer for the same reason. Never warm one with a flame.
Matching the Cart to Your Battery
Most carts use the standard 510 thread, but confirm on the package that the connector fits the battery you own. The label also lists the THC content, and cartridges are concentrated, so the first puff should be short. Play and RKIVE Reserve both make rosin carts. RKIVE Reserve's are solventless, made with ice water and mechanical separation and no chemical solvents. For more on picking one, read how to choose a vape cartridge.
Where Vaping Does Not Belong
Michigan bans consuming cannabis in public. Boat launches, trailheads, the lakeshore and parking lots count, and so does anywhere you are about to drive, boat or ride. A snowmobile is a vehicle too. Use a cart on private property with the owner's permission, and never impaired behind any wheel, helm or handlebar. Cannabis also cannot cross state lines, so a cart bought here stays in Michigan.
